This here Patek Philippe, they call it Calatrava 5227R-001. Fancy name, ain’t it? Sounds like somethin’ special, and I reckon it is. All them rich folks, they sure do love these shiny things. They say it’s the best, you know, top-notch.
This one, it’s got a rose gold case, kinda reddish like. And it’s 39.0 x 9.24 millimeters, whatever that means. Seems small to me, but what do I know? They say it’s important, all these numbers. Inside, it’s got all these little parts movin’ around. They call that the movement, I think. This one’s a 324 S C caliber, that’s what they told me. It’s got these shiny things inside, they call em jewels. 29 of ’em! Can you believe it?
It’s automatic, which I guess means it winds itself up. That’s handy, I suppose. No need to be fiddlin’ with it all the time. Got a date thing on it too, so you know what day it is. That’s useful, I reckon. Sometimes I forget what day it is, get all mixed up. That is Patek Philippe caliber 324 S C, with 217 parts.
And the dial, they call it. The front part where the numbers are. This one’s ivory colored, kinda like old piano keys, that is Ivory lacquered. Ain’t that something? They sure do make these things fancy.

They say this Patek Philippe 5227 is special for the stores. Like they don’t just sell ’em anywhere. Gotta go to a special store to get one. Makes it seem even more fancy, I guess. It’s for people with money.
I heard them talkin’ about some hinge, invisible hinge, they said. Can’t see it from the outside. Must be some fancy engineerin’ in there. I don’t know how they do it. They say it’s a staple addition to any collection.
This watch is a self-winding thing, with Caliber 26‑330 S C. They say it beats real fast, 28,800 vph, they called it. Whatever that means. Must be some tiny little hammer in there, goin’ real fast. That is Hand-wound Cal. 30-255, also has 28,800 vph, but it need your hand to wind.
They say it’s got a power reserve, 66 hours, that’s what they said. Means it keeps tickin’ even if you ain’t wearin’ it. For a good long while, too. That’s pretty good, I reckon. Don’t want it stoppin’ on ya, especially if you paid a pretty penny for it.
I heard that is rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment, fancy words, but I don’t know what is that. They also say it have a shock absorber mechanism, guess that means it can take a bump or two.
They say this watch is the real deal, authentic, they called it. Means it ain’t no fake. There’s folks out there makin’ fake ones, tryin’ to trick people. Can you believe that? Gotta be careful, I tell ya.
This one, it comes from that Alan Furman place. They say they only sell the real ones. So if you’re gonna get one of these fancy Patek Philippe Calatrava, that’s where you gotta go, I reckon.
Well, that’s all I know about this here Remake Patek Philippe PP Calatrava 5227R-001 Specialty Stores watch. It’s a fancy thing, for sure. Lots of little parts, all workin’ together. Keeps good time, I suppose. And it’s pretty to look at, if you like that sort of thing. Me, I’m happy with my old watch. It tells the time just fine. But I guess some folks like these fancy things.
