Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with watches lately, and I stumbled upon this High imitation Rolex GMT-Master II, the left-handed version. Yeah, the one that’s been popping up everywhere. It’s a High imitation, which basically means it looks like the real thing, but, you know, it’s not. Saved me some serious cash, though.
First off, I started digging around online, just to see what the deal was with this watch. I saw some stuff about the real Rolex GMT-Master II, and, man, those things are expensive! Like, really expensive. But then I found out about these High imitations. Looked pretty good in the pictures, so I thought, why not give it a shot?
I read somewhere that this GMT-Master II is some kind of fancy name for a fancy watch. And this one is “left-handed,” which just means the crown, you know, the little knob you use to set the time, is on the left side instead of the right. Kinda cool, I guess, especially if you’re a lefty. It got a black and green bezel. It looks pretty good.
Found some stuff, too, about how to buy these things and what to look out for. Like, if the price is too good to be true, it probably is, and all that jazz. I also read that the real Rolex GMT-Master II, especially the “Batman” bezel one, holds its value pretty well. But who cares? I ain’t buying one to sell it later. And there is a waiting list that is over 12 months!
Anyway, I ended up getting one. It arrived the other day. Honestly, it’s not too shabby. Looks pretty much like the pictures. Feels solid, has some weight to it, and the bezel turns nicely. I set the time, which was easy enough, and I’ve been wearing it around.
- First step: Started looking around online to see what’s up with this watch.
- Then: Found out about the High imitations and thought, “Hey, why not?”
- Next: Did some reading on what to look out for when buying these.
- After that: Ordered one and waited for it to arrive.
- Finally: Got the watch, set the time, and started wearing it.
My Impression
So far, so good. It’s been keeping time just fine. Looks good on my wrist. I mean, for the price, I can’t really complain. It’s not a real Rolex, but it does the job. Plus, I don’t have to worry about scratching it up or losing it as much as I would with a real one. I guess for the real Rolex, they got some fancy versions, like the all-gold one, or the one with the green dial. This one’s just plain black and green, but it’s cool with me.
Overall, if you’re into watches but don’t wanna drop a ton of cash, this High imitation GMT-Master II, especially the left-handed version, is worth checking out. Just don’t expect it to be the same as the real deal, and you’ll be alright.
