So, I’ve been eyeing this CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch for a while now. You know, the one with the open case back, classic style. I finally decided to go for it. Let me tell you, it was quite the experience.
First off, I started digging around to find a decent one. Not the real deal, obviously, because who has that kind of cash? But a good copy, a really good one. I spent hours online, reading forums, checking out different sellers. It’s a bit of a jungle out there, lots of fakes and scams, you know?
I finally found a seller with some decent reviews. I mean, not perfect, but you can never be too sure with these things. I contacted them, asked a ton of questions. Felt like a real detective, haha. They were pretty responsive, so that was a good sign. After a bunch of back and forth, I decided to take the plunge and ordered the watch.
Then came the waiting. Oh boy, the waiting. Every day I was checking the tracking, hoping for some movement. It felt like forever, but finally, it arrived. I ripped open that package like a kid on Christmas morning.
And there it was. It looked pretty good, I gotta say. Nice weight to it, the details seemed to be on point. I wound it up, set the time, and put it on. Felt amazing. I spent the rest of the day just admiring it on my wrist.
Now, I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks now. I took it apart a couple of times. I wanted to see the movement inside, especially the back side. And just play with the chronograph buttons, see how it ticks. It’s not perfect, I think it’s hard to copy the original movement, but it’s still pretty cool.
I’ve gotten a few compliments on it, which is always nice. Of course, I don’t go around pretending it’s the real thing. But for the price, I’m really happy with it. It’s a great conversation starter, and it’s just a fun piece to wear.
I have noticed that it sometimes does not keep time accurately, so I have to adjust it from time to time. I heard that it’s pretty common in copied watches, so I can accept it.
So yeah, that’s my story about getting a copy of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. It was a bit of an adventure, but I’m glad I did it. It’s not just a watch, it’s a little piece of history, even if it’s just a replica.
