Today, I’m going to talk about getting my hands on that OMEGA Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary watch. It was quite a process, let me tell you.
It all started when I first saw pictures of this watch online. Man, I was immediately hooked. I mean, a Speedmaster with Snoopy on it? Come on, that’s just too cool. So, I knew I had to have it.
First thing I did was to check out the official OMEGA website. You know, just to get all the details and drool over the pictures some more. Then, I started looking around for authorized dealers. I wanted to make sure I was getting the real deal, not some cheap knock-off.

I waited for several days… Finally, someone reached out! A guy said he had one, in mint condition, and he was thinking about selling it. We chatted a bit, negotiated a price, and agreed to meet up. Man, I was nervous. This was a big deal.
The Meet-up
- Location: We met at a local coffee shop. Busy enough that I felt safe, but not too crowded that we couldn’t talk.
- Inspection: He brought the watch, the box, the papers, everything. I took my time looking it over, checking the serial numbers, making sure it was all legit.
- Payment: I wired the money to his account. Let me tell you, that was a stressful moment! Waiting for the confirmation to come through.
- Success: And just like that, I was the proud owner of an OMEGA Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary watch. It was all worth it.
After getting the watch, the first thing I did was put it on my wrist. It felt amazing. I spent the rest of the day just admiring it, taking pictures, and showing it off to my friends. I even took it to a watchmaker to get it authenticated, just to be 100% sure. It’s all good!
Getting this watch was a journey. It took time, effort, and a bit of luck. But in the end, it was totally worth it. This watch is more than just a timepiece to me.
