This here watch, they call it the CopyOMEGA, you know, that fancy Speedmaster Apollo 8, “Dark Side of the Moon” thing. Only sold in them fancy specialty stores. Ain’t that somethin’?
Now, I heard tell that it’s all about them astronauts, them fellas that went up to the moon. Frank, James, and William, they was the first to see the dark side of that old moon. Can you imagine? Pitch black, I reckon. This here CopyOMEGA Speedmaster, it’s s’posed to be like that dark side. It got all the fancy writing, but what I care is it tell time right. And I heard it do.
They say you can wear the moon on your wrist with this thing. Well, I’ll be. It’s got that… whatchamacallit… the face all open so you can see the insides, and they made it look like the moon’s surface. All bumpy and whatnot. It must cost a pretty penny. Heard that it called “chronograph”. Sounds like some disease. Hope it not contagious.

Some folks, they get all worked up about this Dark Side of the Moon watch. They say it’s a big deal, this Apollo 8 thing. Some big moment in… somethin’ or other. Space, I guess. They was the first to go around the moon, or somethin’ like that. Big whoop, I say. But hey, this watch, it do look kinda neat. It black like the night. I don’t know why people want a black watch, hard to see in dark. Maybe that the point.
If you got the money, I reckon it’s a fine thing to have. Them rich folks, they like this kinda stuff. Showin’ off, I suppose. Me, I’m happy with my old ticker. Been keepin’ time just fine for years. Don’t need no fancy CopyOMEGA to tell me when to feed the chickens. But hey, people like it. Especially those city folks. They got more money than sense.

Now they saying that this watch, it a good companion for space exploration. Well, I ain’t goin’ to space anytime soon. Unless they got a rocking chair up there. And some good biscuits. But these young’uns, they all about space these days. Maybe they need a watch like this. To tell time in space. Do time even exist in space? I don’t know. It all beyond me.
It show the moon, they say. And the dark side. In high definition! What in tarnation is high definition? Sounds like somethin’ you see on them newfangled TVs. Everything’s so clear, it almost don’t look real. Maybe that how the moon look up close. All clear and defined.
If you got the chance to get one of these CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8 watches, they say you should. Even if it’s just to look at it. They say it’s a piece of art. Well, I’ve seen art. This is a watch. A very expensive watch. But if it makes you happy, then I guess it’s worth it. For some folks, at least. This old lady, she don’t need such fancy thing. But maybe you do.

If I were to buy it, I would buy it just so I could look at it. Just kidding, I wouldn’t spend that kind of money on a watch. But the design, I do like the design. I like the black. But I wouldn’t be able to see what time it was. What’s the point of a watch if you can’t see what time it is? It’s beyond me. If you get the chance to buy this watch. You should do it.
