Okay, here’s the story about how I remade a Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag, the large one, and it’s the original order quality.
So, I saw this Prada Galleria bag, the big one, and I just had to have it. But, you know, the price tag was a bit, well, a lot. So I thought, “Why not try to make my own?” And that’s how this whole project started.
First, I needed to find the right materials. I mean, this bag is made of Saffiano leather, which is pretty specific. I did a bit of searching. I was looking for “Saffiano Leather”. After a few days, I finally found some good quality leather that looked and felt just like the real deal. I also needed to get the hardware, like the buckles and the logo plate.

Once I had all the materials, the next step was to actually start making the bag. This was the tricky part. I spent hours looking at pictures of the original bag, trying to figure out the exact dimensions and how everything was put together. It was like solving a puzzle, you know?
Then came the cutting and sewing. I carefully cut out each piece of leather, following the measurements I had figured out. Sewing them together was another challenge. I wanted the stitching to be perfect, just like the original. It took a lot of patience, and I definitely messed up a few times. There were moments when I thought, “What have I gotten myself into?” But I kept going.
Finally, after many days and nights of work, the bag was finished. It was such a great feeling to see it all come together. It looked amazing, if I do say so myself. It was just like those health and stability things, a key predictor of my happiness at that moment, haha!
The End Result
The end result was pretty darn close to the original Prada bag. It had the same look, the same feel, and even the same weight to it. I was so proud of myself for pulling it off. And the best part? It cost me way less than buying the real one. Later on, the plan is to order more raw materials.
I’ve been using this bag for a while now, and it’s holding up really well. It just goes to show that with a little bit of determination, you can do anything you set your mind to, even if it’s remaking a designer bag!
